Dominican Republic - Cabarete - Passporters Expedition DR

Trip Glimpses - Caribbean

Pitstop in Sosua before going to Cabarete

Dominican Republic

Our four hour bus ride from Santo Domingo was very comfortable and relaxing. The tour bus temperature was set perfectly, the seats reclined and everyone on board was easy going. My sister sat next to her husband and a young man was kind enough to exchange seats with me so that I could sit next to my cousin. The scenery during the entire ride was of green country side (except for a quick pass through Santiago), which was a nice change from being in the city.

Departure from Miami to Santo Domingo

Leaving Miami Enroute to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Everyone who travels with me knows that I like to sit in an aisle seat on an airplane. Contrarily, this time I was happy to get a window seat because I anticipated seeing islands surrounded by breath taking water. I sat next to a Dominican boy approximately eleven years old named Sodocrenise (he advised that it was ok to call him Sam), who was fearful of flying. He kept talking to me, which I believe was a way for him to calm his nerves. I took various inflight videos on our way to Santo Domingo. I'll mention the video link later, so please continue reading. Cool

Departure from LAX to Miami - Overnight Layover

Miami Beach - Here We Come The day for Passporters Expedition Dominican Republic, had finally arrived. Passporters In flight, Jave, Explorer and I were very excited about the adventures that awaited us. We were even thrilled about our overnight layover in Miami. Contrary to what I envisioned, this was somewhat of a stressful morning for me since I was still shopping and packing thirty minutes prior to the time I was supposed to meet my ride to the airport! We planned to arrive two hours ahead of time as suggested, but the mall didn't open until 10:30 am and we were due at the airport at 12:30 pm. Nevertheless, we made it to the airport on time thanks to my cousin Lauren who took us. Furthermore, our self check-in process went very smoothly.

Mexico - My Amazing Journey Back In Time

Trip Glimpses - North America

Aerial view of Cancun, Mexico
In October, I decided to go to Mexico with two of my co-workers.  I knew that Mexico was big and I have been to some of the outskirts of Mexico, such as Rosarito and Tijuana. However, when planning this trip, I really wanted to experience the cultures, ancient history and get a little relaxation as well.  We decided to go to the Mayan Riviera.   We booked an all inclusive trip for 4 days and 3 nights which cost about $750.00 per person, through Expedia.
